Princeton (6-7) at Florida State (8-4) (ET)

GAME NOTES: The Princeton Tigers are going to try to be the first visiting squad to win at the Donald L. Tucker Center as they face off with the Florida State Seminoles.

This will be just the third encounter between Princeton and Florida State. The Tigers have won both previous meetings, the latter of which took place in 1998. Princeton is the second opponent from the Ivy League for FSU this season, as it lost to Harvard in the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament in November.

The Tigers were bested 63-59 by the Siena Saints their last time out. The defeat was only the second in seven games for Princeton, who saw its two-game winning streak end. Princeton is 6-7 entering tonight, but the program has bounced back from losing records each of the last three years. Princeton has out-assisted its opponents 14.2 apg to 9.1 apg this season. Princeton saw its five-game streak of out shooting its opponents from the field snap against Siena, which outshot Princeton 40 percent to 38.2 percent.

Ian Hummer is an early candidate for conference player of the year as he is ranked second in the Ivy League in scoring (17.8) and rebounding (7.8). Douglas Davis is a solid scorer for Princeton as well with an average of 12.8 ppg. The Siena loss was the first time Princeton lost this season when three or more players had 10+ points. While Davis (23), Hummer (16) and T.J. Bray (15) scored aplenty, the rest of the team had just five points. The Tigers were 6-0 when three players reached double figures and are 0-6 when two or fewer reach 10-plus points.

The Seminoles enter with an 8-4 overall record and a perfect 7-0 record at home. FSU has won 16 of its last 17 home games, with the only loss coming to nationally ranked North Carolina on a buzzer beater last season. FSU will be looking to redeem itself after being handled 82-64 by its in-state rival Florida Gators its last time out. The Seminoles hurt themselves in the loss by turning it over 19 times and only getting to the foul line for 10 attempts. FSU has been impressive this season with an average of 70.2 ppg to its opponents 59.8 ppg.

Michael Snaer and Bernard James are two players to watch in this one. Snaer leads the team in scoring with 12.4 ppg and had his streak of seven consecutive games scoring in double figures his last time out. The last time that the junior guard was held in single digits, he responded with an 18-point outing. James pulling down a team-best 8.9 rpg while chipping in 10.2 ppg. The 6-10 senior forward was a huge factor in the team's win over Loyola Marymount on December 18th, as he scored 17 points and grabbed 12 boards. James, like Snaer, had a forgettable game against Florida as he finished with just six points and four turnovers.

Although Princeton is known for its mid-season turnarounds, it will have to start at a later date. James and Snaer are going to give Princeton's combo of Davis and Hummer all they can handle.
