Jerry "The King" Lawler released from medical facility and home in Memphis

Michael Cole announced during the Sept. 17 episode of Raw that there will be an exclusive interview with Jerry "The King" Lawler on next Monday's Raw.

9/17/12, 3:55 p.m. Update
Jerry "The King" Lawler has been released from a Montreal medical facility and will be heading home in the next several days. We continue to wish Jerry all the best, and we look forward to him returning to WWE in the future.

At Night of Champions, Michael Cole revealed the good news that Jerry Lawler will be going home this week to Memphis, Tenn.

9/13/12, 3:30 p.m. Update
On Thursday, Pat Patterson visited Jerry Lawler in ?The King?s? hospital room in Montreal and noted that his fellow WWE Hall of Famer ?looks very, very good.?

?When I walked in there and he saw me in the window, he had a big smile on his face. He was very happy,? Patterson told WWE.com, noting that although Lawler has little memory of what occurred on Monday night, ?The King?s? outlook is incredibly positive. ?One of the doctors came by and wanted to take him to a different room for tests. Jerry had no problem getting out of bed and getting into a wheelchair.

?His sense of humor is there, I made him laugh. He?s doing very good.?

On Wednesday evening, Jerry "The King" Lawler's Raw broadcast partner Michael Cole tweeted the following:

@MichaelCole: #wweuniverse you will never believe this! I just got off the phone with #jerrylawler and he is alert and in great spirits!

@MichaelCole: #jerrylawler sends his love to you all and thanks you for all the support! He says the strap will be coming down soon!

@MichaelCole: Folks #jerrylawler is going to win this!

According to Cole, Lawler is already cracking his signature jokes.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 12, 2012, Jerry "The King" Lawler remains in a cardiac care unit in Montreal. His vital signs continue to be stable. He is awake, recognizes family members and is communicating with them. We continue to wish Jerry all the best for a full recovery.

9/10/12 OFFICIAL STATEMENT
Last night, WWE released an official statement on the events in Montreal:

Jerry ?The King? Lawler suffered a heart attack while commentating during last night?s broadcast of Monday Night Raw in Montreal. ?We are hopeful Jerry makes a full recovery and returns to WWE in the near future. Our thoughts are with Jerry and his family.

During the tag team match between Kane & Daniel Bryan and The Prime Time Players on Raw, viewers may have noticed members of the audience and WWE production team staring toward the commentary booth, as well as the absence of Jerry ?The King? Lawler?s voice. WWE.com learned that the WWE Hall of Famer collapsed at the announcers' table and was tended to in the locker room area by WWE medical staff. Lawler was then taken from the arena to a medical facility in Montreal.

We will have updates on Lawler?s condition as this story progresses.
