Microsoft fined $732M in Europe

Microsoft Corp. was fined $732 million by the European Union Wednesday for not offering European consumers a choice of rival browsers.

The New York Times reports the Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) fine is irst time that European regulators punished a company for not complying with antitrust settlement terms. In a statement, Microsoft said, "We take full responsibility for the technical error that caused this problem and have apologized for it."
