Capitol Confidential ? Tonko talks campaign finance reform at Union

U.S. Rep. Paul D. Tonko visits Union College in Schenectady to discuss campaign finance reform on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. in Wold Atrium.

Tonko, D-Amsterdam, accepted an invitation from the student chapter of Democracy Matters, a student advocacy group pushing for campaign finance reform.

?The topic is of particular interest to New York since Gov. Cuomo publicly backed campaign finance reform and public financing of elections,? said Gabriella Levine, the group?s campus leader at Union, on the college?s website.

The talk is free and open to the public. You can check out Tonko?s own current campaign finance status here.
