About Faculty of Health Sciences,University of Balamand,Lebanon The Faculty of Health Sciences is one of the nine faculties of the University of Balamand. Founded in 1995,it is located on the Beirut campus, within the St.Georges Health Complex, with a teaching hospital next door, and offers degrees both in Beirut and on the University campus in north Lebanon. The Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Balamand, Lebanon, has openings in the fields of Public Health, Community Health, Health Promotion and Biostatistics. Appointments would be at the levels of Assistant Professor and/or Associate Professor, effective Fall 2012. The Faculty offers degree programs in Health Promotion, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Public Health and Development Sciences, Nursing and Nutritional Sciences, with pre-medical tracks for preparation for application to medical school. The Faculty offers its programs on two campuses: in the capital Beirut next to a large teaching hospital, and on the Al-Kurah main campus close to Tripoli, the second largest city of Lebanon. The language of instruction is English. The academic environment favors learning/mentorship dynamics and encourages students to acquire hands-on practical experience. The Faculty encourages multidisciplinary teamwork and collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine and the University teaching hospital. NOTES: 2 openings. Additional Salary Information: Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
